The Jeddah Urban Observatory follows the recommendations of
UN-Habitat
and World Bank
in designing and developing a database for the production of internationally approved indicators as established by the 2001 Istanbul +5 Conference.
Jeddah Urban Observatory will generate (80) indicators and hopes to reach (120) indicators in the near future. In developing the recommended urban indicators, the observatory took into consideration an adequate degree of flexibility to meet future revisions and additions as proposed by the different partners while maintaining its broad nature.
