Indicators and the Hierarchy of information
spacer
The information divisions, which indicators are deduced from, usually have the form of a hierarchy. The large base constitute raw data collected from different fields of development while at a higher level the raw data are transformed into a better form i.e. they are classified into statistical charts sorted out according to many criteria that achieve the goals. It is also classified in scientific ways such as theories, mathematical equations or advanced statistical ways that are transformed into indicators and criteria. Thus, these indicators can be grouped to identify a specific guideline, for example the human development guideline constitutes a number of indicators like the educational conditions and illiteracy, the expected age and the individuals share of the General domestic production, this represents the highest point of the hierarchy.
